WALESKA, Ga. – Two Bluefield University women's volleyball players have been recognized among the Appalachian Athletic Conference's best, as senior Eledy Torres and junior Morgan Wigg were each named to the All-AAC Second Team, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

Torres, a senior defensive specialist from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, ranked fifth in the AAC in digs per set (4.71) this season. She set a new school record for digs in a match (38) and later tied her own record during the year, while also surpassing the 1,000-career-digs milestone on Oct. 31 against Bryan. Torres closed the regular season with 367 digs, 31 aces, 53 assists, and six kills—all career highs.

Wigg, a middle hitter from Willow River, Minnesota, finished 10th in the AAC with 2.66 kills per set, tallying 224 total kills on a .201 hitting percentage. Her standout performance came Oct. 1 at Bluefield State, when she recorded a season-best 20 kills. Wigg also led the Rams with 21 solo blocks and assisted on 27 more.

Johnson (Tenn.)'s Abigail Brown was named AAC Player of the Year, while Columbia International's Katie Weiss earned Coach of the Year honors.
