Box Score MONTREAT, N.C. - Four Bluefield College players scored in double figures as the Rams won their first game of 2017, beating Montreat 78-73, Tuesday night in North Carolina.
Stanthony Nelms and
Sidney Knox dropped in 13 points apiece,
Jorge Concepcion III scored 12 and
Cordaris Townes added 11 to spark the Rams' victory.
Khadier Fulcher cleared the glass seven times to lead the Rams.
Bluefield led the Cavaliers 34-21 at the break and it was Montreat who out-scored the Rams in the second half 52-44. The Rams, however, held off the late charge by the home team to claim the win.
The Rams improved to 8-9 overall and 5-2 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Montreat fell to 10-3 overall and 5-3 in the AAC. It was the first home loss in six games for the Cavaliers.
Bluefield will host AAC foe St. Andrews, Thursday at 7:30 at the Dome Gymnasium.
