BLUEFIELD, Va. – The battle of Bluefield took place Thursday evening in the dome, as the Lady Rams volleyball team dominated Bluefield State College.
The Rams took the match in 3 straight sets, 25-20, 25-20, 25-16. Bluefield State looked overmatched for the majority of the match, besides showing late signs of life in each set.
Camry McCroskey had 20 assists, eight digs to help pace the Rams, while Lexie Mocarski had 11 digs. Ellen Johnson led Bluefield with nine kills and Kaitlyn Shaver had eight kills.
State's Leandrea Armbrister had 20 assists and Brittany Bonamy had 10 kills and 15 kills.
The Rams improve to 6-10 on the year. They look to carry this momentum into Saturday's AAC matchups against Truett-McConnell University and Montreat College at TMU in Cleveland, Ga.
