COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson whittled an 18-point Bluefield College lead to one with around six minutes to play, but the Rams answered with an 8-0 spurt en route to the 70-64 win Thursday night at the Biggers Sports Center.

Bluefield (11-8, 4-7 MSC), who sweeps the season series with the win, was led by
Josh Nesbit's 16 points, followed by 15 from
Kearsten Marion, 14 from
Andrew Wilson and 10 from
Devin Page.
Ederson Exume led the Rams' rebounding effort with five.

Lindsey Wilson (12-12, 3-9 MSC) was paced by Daronte Clark's 23 points, while D'on Hall and Dusan Pantovic chipped in 13 and 10, respectively.

BC took a 33-25 lead into the break and started hot in the second half, beginning with a three-pointer from Wilson.

The Rams made it a 14-4 run over the opening 5:30 of the second half to build up a 47-29 advantage.

Page put in four points, including an emphatic dunk assisted by Nesbit, and Marion added four points as well. Wilson added another three to lead the run with six points.

But, LWC clamored back, reeling off a 24-7 rally to close the deficit to just one point, 54-53 with 6:10 left on the clock.

Page helped slow the rally a little more with a pair of free throws and also sparked a run for the Rams which earned them the needed cushion to pull out the win.

Marion made one of two free throws after getting fouled on a LWC missed shot, with Wilson corralling the rebound on the baseline. The rebound later paid off for Wilson, who hit a three later in the possession. Nesbit capped the 8-0 run with a layin, giving BC a 62-53 edge.

LWC's deficit would get down to three points, 64-61 with 1:16 to play, but Exume netted a jumper from the middle of the paint off a
Kyle Grisby assist to make it a two-possession game with 32 seconds to go.

Marion stole the inbounds pass after an LWC timeout and all but sealed the game with a 68-61 lead and only 19 seconds left.

Nesbit and
Eric Dukes added free throws, while Clark hit his final three for the final tally of 70-64.

BC concluded the night shooting 54% from the field (27-for-50), while LWC was 43.1% (22-for-51). The Rams were hot from outside, hitting 7-of-14 attempts. Wilson connected on four of his seven tries while Marion hit two and Dukes one. The Blue Raiders were 8-for-18 (44.4%) from long range.

Bluefield looks to avenge its home loss to Cumberland University in its next game, facing off with the Bulldogs at 5 p.m. Saturday.
