CONCORD, N.C. – Nine players logged double-digit minutes Saturday and all 10 Rams that played scored en route to a 76-68 win over Barber-Scotia College.

Josh Nesbit led the Rams' balanced attack with 12 points along with seven rebounds, while
Nick Stathopoulos and
Eric Dukes tossed in 11 and 10, respectively, in the winning effort.
Ederson Exume matched Nesbit's game high rebound total of seven.

The Rams played without starting point guard
Kearsten Marion for just the third time in the last three seasons, as Houston, Texas, native was out due to illness.

Carlos Benton led the Sabers' offense with a game high 25 points. James Parsons and Joel Barns chipped in 12 and 11, respectively.

Bluefield owned a 41-23 advantage on the glass, including 17 offensive rebounds which led to a 15-4 advantage in second-chance points. Missing their floor general, the Rams turned the ball over 20 times, which led to 27 points for the Sabers. BC scored 20 points on the Sabers' 13 turnovers.

The Rams finished the game going 28-for-53 (52.8%) from the floor, while Barber-Scotia was 19-for-49 (38.8%). The Sabers tossed up 22 three-point attempts, hitting six, and the Rams went 4-of-11 (36.4%) from long range.

Both teams went to the line often, but the Rams shot well below their season average of 73% with the 16-for-25 (64.0%) mark from the charity stripe. Meanwhile, Barber-Scotia went 24-for-30 (80%) at the line.

Bluefield was slow out of the gates, as the first bucket came on a Nesbit layin nearly four minutes into action.

Barber-Scotia was able to earn a 12-6 lead with less than 12 minutes to go in the opening half before the Rams came back with six-straight to square the contest.
Marcus Richardson converted a reverse layup along the baseline, while the next four points came on the break from Dukes and Nesbit.

Bluefield took its first lead, 14-12, after another fast break score from Dukes with 9:33 on the clock.

A 9-2 run over a three-minute span from BC earned the Rams a 30-20 cushion, capped off by a
Mike Collins trey. The Rams' stayed in double-digits until Barber-Scotia tallied the final four points before the half, making it 40-32, BC.

Barber-Scotia slowly chipped away at their deficit, becoming comfortable at the free throw line where they took 19 attempts in the second half.

A three-pointer from Parsons earned the hosts a one points lead, 54-53, with 10:49 remaining in regulation.

The lead was short-lived though, as
Kyle Grisby knocked down back-to-back threes to earn BC a five-point advantage.

A three from the Sabers' Benton pulled Barber-Scotia within three shortly after, but the Rams responded and pushed the advantage back to double-figures thanks to an 11-4 run covering 4:30. A three-pointer from Richardson with 3:28 to play capped the rally.

The Sabers didn't let up though and trimmed the deficit to four with 95 seconds left, but a pair of free throws from both
Andrew Wilson and
Devin Page sealed the road win for the Rams, 76-68.

BC returns to conference action Thursday, as they travel to face Lindsey Wilson College.
