Chavez Earns Second-Team All-AAC Men’s Soccer Honors

11/6/2025 3:48:00 PM

WALESKA, Ga. – Bluefield University men's soccer freshman forward Adan Chavez has been named to the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Second Team, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

A native of Roanoke, Va., Chavez led the Rams in scoring with eight goals and one assist for 17 total points during his debut collegiate season. His eight goals are the most by a Bluefield player in a single season since Axel Johansson also tallied eight in 2021.

Chavez wasted no time making an impact for the Rams, scoring in his collegiate debut against Greensboro on August 23. He notched a hat trick in Bluefield's 3-1 win over Washington Adventist on September 9 and later recorded goals in four of a six-match stretch during the middle of the campaign.

The honor marks Bluefield's first All-Conference men's soccer selection since the program had two Second-Team performers in 2018.

In addition to Chavez's recognition, the AAC announced its major award winners, with Union Commonwealth's Tyrique Bailey-Edwards named Player of the Year and Union Commonwealth's Jonathan Shaw earning Coach of the Year honors.
