WALESKA, Ga. – Bluefield University libero Eledy Torres has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Torres anchored the Rams' back line across three matches last week, averaging 6.0 digs per set. Her week was highlighted by a 38-dig performance against Milligan, tying her own single-match program record set earlier this season. She also contributed 10 service aces and 13 assists during the week.
A native of Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, Torres continues to rank among the AAC's top defensive players, sitting fourth in the conference with 4.78 digs per set and third in service aces per set (0.48). She now stands just 11 digs shy of 1,000 for her Bluefield career.
This marks Torres' first AAC weekly honor of the 2025 season.
The Rams return to action October 28 when they host Carolina University at 6:30 p.m. inside the Dome Gymnasium.
