JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Bluefield University men's golf team turned in a strong performance at the East Tennessee Collegiate, finishing tied for sixth in the team standings after two days of competition at Johnson City Country Club on September 22–23.
Leading the Rams was Jacob Mitchell, who posted rounds of 71 and 72 for a 1-under-par finish to place tied for 14th in the field. Jack Healey and Brayden Surface followed close behind, each finishing 2-over-par for the tournament. Healy recorded consistent rounds of 73 and 73, while Surface shot 72 and 74 as both tied for 27th place individually.
Silas Miller rounded out Bluefield's scoring lineup with rounds of 73 and 75 to finish 4-over-par and tied for 36th overall. As a team, the Rams carded scores of 289 and 294 for a two-round total of 583 (+7).
Bluefield will return to the course October 6–7 to compete in the Columbia Fall Classic at Deercroft Golf Club in Wagram, North Carolina.
