WAGRAM, N.C. – The Bluefield University men's golf team earned a strong third-place finish at the Columbia Fall Invite, held October 6–7 at Deercroft Golf Club.
The Rams posted team scores of 302 and 295 for a two-round total of 597 (+21).
Silas Miller led the way for Bu with an impressive performance, carding rounds of 69 and 73 to finish 2-under-par and claim second place individually. His effort also earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Jack Healy followed with rounds of 78 and 72 to finish 6-over-par and tied for 11th. Eetu Kilpinen recorded scores of 78 and 74 to finish 8-over and tied for 13th, while Brayden Surface rounded out the scoring lineup with rounds of 77 and 76 for a 9-over-par total, tying for 18th in the field.
Columbia International's Luke Hammond captured the individual title at 9-under-par, while Columbia International also claimed the team championship with a score of 579 (+3).
Bluefield will return to action October 13–14 at the Pioneer Fall Invite at Cherokee National Golf Club in Gaffney, South Carolina.
