Box Score 2 BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – BU baseball opened Appalachian Athletic Conference play dropping a doubleheader to the Union College Bulldogs 13-4 and 5-4 Sunday afternoon. Monday's series finale was canceled due to rain.
GAME ONE
Union 13, Bluefield 4
Union scored six runs in the first two innings to take the lead. The Rams scored two in the third on a
Johnny Medina two-run single to cut into the lead. BU added two more in the eighth inning but was not enough. The Rams were held to a pair of hits. In addition to Medina's single,
Max Aristy collected a double. Medina had three RBIs.
Tyler Lowrey started on the mound and took the loss.
GAME TWO
Union 5, Bluefield 4
The Bulldogs rallied for a run in the sixth to tie and ended the game with a walk-off homer in the seventh. The Rams took a 2-0 lead in the fourth on a
Briley Harlan two-run home run. Union took the lead with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Bluefield pushed across a run to take a 4-3 lead in the sixth before Union scored its final two runs to get the win. Harlan was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in.
Andrew Arguello was tagged with the loss.
