Rams withstand Wasps sting

Box Score BLUEFIELD - Emory and Henry College charged back from a 9-2 deficit, scoring five runs in the seventh inning, but the Rams took the Wasps sting and held on for a 10-9 win Tuesday afternoon at Bowen Field in a non-conference contest.
Jordan Ackerman led Bluefield at the plate as he was 4-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a pair of doubles. Joshua Magee had a pair of hits including a two-run home run, his 12th long ball of the season and his 49th and 50th runs batted in, and Baley Castro also had a pair of hits.
Jesus Roldan, the second of four BC pitchers picked up the win as he worked two innings of scoreless baseball and allowed only one hit. Tyler Conklin earned the save.

The Rams (22-14) continue non-conference play on Wednesday as Hiwassee College comes to Bowen Field. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
