Box Score 2 CLEVELAND, Ga. - Baseball claimed an Appalachian Athletic Conference series from Truett McConnell University by splitting a doubleheader, Saturday on the Bears' home field. TMU took game one in a slugfest, while the Rams claimed game two and the series in the finale.
GAME ONE
TMU scored 13 runs in the sixth inning and edged the Rams 16-15.
Jose Perez continued his hot hitting as he was 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs.
Joshua Magee also had four RBIs and connected for his 12th home run of the season.
Marcus Espinal was 3-for-5 and
Oscar Torres had a pair of hits.
Jordan Jackson smacked his fifth home run of the season.
GAME TWO
The Rams took the 5-1 win as Perez was again 3-for-4, pushing his season batting average to .525. Torres again had a pair of hits and Jackson knocked in three runs.
Kyle Harris got the complete game victory on the mound as he allowed only one run, struck out three and walked one.
UP NEXT
The Rams improved to 17-9 overall and 6-8 in the AAC and will host Shawnee State in a non-conference twinbill, Wednesday afternoon at Bowen Field.
