Box Score BLUEFIELD, Va. - St. Andrews University used a second half surge to claim an 81-78 win over the Bluefield College Rams, Thursday evening in men's basketball at the Dome.
Bluefield led by as many as 10 points in the first half before the visiting Knights closed to within five at the half, 42-37.
SAU took the lead early in the second half and the team fought back-and-forth for the next 17 minutes.
Stanthony Nelms topped the Bluefield scoring column with 16 points and added four rebounds.
Cordaris Townes tallied 13 with seven boards,
Isiah Gill scored 12 on four treys and
Khadier Fulcher dropped in 10 points with three assists.
Bluefield fell to 8-10 overall and 5-3 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference while St. Andrews moved to 4-10 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
The Rams host Union, Saturday afternoon at 4:00.
