Women beat Milligan

Box Score MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - The Bluefield College women's soccer team climbed back to .500 with a 2-1 come-from-behind win over the Milligan Buffaloes, Wednesday night in an Appalachian Athletic Conference contest in Eastern Tennessee.
Trailing 1-nil at the half, Bluefield's first goal came in the 73rd minute from Adriana Moreno. Her first goal of the season tied the game at one and it remained knotted until the 88th minute when Victoria Doyle scored, with the assists going to Jessica Newman and Kali Furry.
A close game throughout, BC had seven shots on goal to six for Milligan. Brandi Anderson recorded five saves for the Rams.
"I am extremely proud of the girls to come back from a 1-0 deficit. They were a totally different team in the second half and they showed a great deal of character in their play," said head coach Tom Price. "It's good to get another conference win and we're excited about the direction our program is going. We look forward to playing Truett-McConnell and Senior Night and finishing the season strong."
Bluefield (4-4-3, 2-2-2) will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday as it hosts Truett-McConnell at 3 p.m. at the East River Soccer Complex.
