Bluefield University's Track & Field team participated in the Concord Invitational this past weekend, using the event as a final tune-up before heading into the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships.
"It was our last tune-up before the AAC Championships," said Head Coach Mark White. "I wish the weather had been better, but we did what we needed to do."
With the regular season now wrapped up, the Rams have shifted their focus to the AAC Championships, where several athletes have already qualified to compete.
"We have had some qualifiers for the AAC Championships. I'm excited to see them compete in the last meet of the year," said White. "Lana has had a good year, and our women's 4x100m relay team should be able to do something. Jaylen is qualified in two throwing events and will be fun to watch."
The AAC Championships will start this Friday and will be held in Kingsport, Tennessee.Â
