Waleska, Ga. – The Bluefield Rams showcased their strength over the weekend, securing two impressive victories in Waleska, Georgia. The Rams took down Talladega College in a thrilling four-set battle on Friday before overpowering Life University in a decisive four-set win on Saturday.
Against Talladega, Bluefield bounced back from a narrow first-set loss (27-29) to dominate the next three sets (25-21, 25-14, 26-24). The Rams' offense fired on all cylinders, led by Dakari Williams' 16 kills and Mason Lloyd's all-around performance with 12 kills and eight digs. Setter Benedict Somes orchestrated the attack with 47 assists, while General Smith anchored the defense at the net with seven blocks.
The momentum carried into Saturday's match against Life University, where the Rams controlled the tempo, winning 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22). Bluefield capitalized on aggressive serving, tallying 11 aces despite some service errors. Lloyd continued his strong play with 11 kills, while Kyle Pietrzak and Williams contributed offensively and defensively to stifle Life's attack.
With the weekend sweep, the Rams improved to 7-5 on the season and 3-1 in conference play. They look to extend their winning streak in their upcoming home matchup.
