Virginia Beach, VA – The Bluefield Rams continued their strong run of form with a commanding 3-1 road victory over Regent University.
Setter Benedict Somes orchestrated the Rams' offense masterfully, tallying 43 assists to go along with 9 digs. The offensive charge was led by Mason Lloyd, who delivered an impressive 23 kills on a scorching .541 hitting percentage, while also contributing 9 digs and 2 service aces.
Kyle Pietrzak was a defensive force at the net, recording 5 blocks and 7 digs, ensuring Regent had difficulty finding an offensive rhythm. Dakari Williams also shined with 13 kills, 1 service ace, and 8 digs, while General Smith added 6 kills and 7 digs to round out a balanced team effort.
The Rams controlled the match from start to finish, taking three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-14, with Regent managing to steal the third set in a closely contested 27-25 battle.
With this win, Bluefield College continues to build momentum as they look ahead to their next match up, March 8th at Truett McConnell University.
