Grayson, KY – The Bluefield University Rams put up a fight but couldn't hold off a second-half surge from Kentucky Christian, falling 76-51.
The Rams came out strong, setting the tone early behind Ahmiah Jordan's fast-break layup and a smooth three-pointer off an assist from Lina Pagan. Destiny Long lead the Rams with 19 points, including a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. Bluefield's defensive energy kept them in the game, and at the end of the first half, they trailed by just five, 28-23.
After halftime, Kentucky Christian turned up the pressure. Despite the Rams' defensive efforts—highlighted by a big block from Kiarra Guzman and a gritty 10-rebound performance by Gabriella Rosado—the Knights' pulled ahead and finished the game 76-51.
In addition to Long's offensive leadership, Lina Pagan contributed 6 points, 8 rebounds, and a team-high 2 assists, while Jordan filled the stat sheet with 9 points and 4 steals, showing her defensive prowess.
The Rams approach the final stretch of the regular season with just two games remaining—an away matchup against CIU on Wednesday, followed by their season finale at home on Saturday, the 22nd, against St. Andrews.
