MILLIGAN, Tenn. – The Bluefield University Rams fought with determination but faced a tough road contest against the Milligan Buffaloes, ultimately falling 97-55.
The Rams started strong, with Destiny Long setting the tone early with a driving layup, followed by a well-timed three-pointer from Ahmiah Jordan. Bluefield showed grit in the opening minutes, but Milligan responded with an offensive surge.
Despite the score deficit, the Rams continued to battle. Long delivered a stellar performance, leading all scorers with 25 points, showcasing her ability to attack the basket and knock down key shots. Jordan contributed 13 points and made several impactful defensive plays, while Elle Gunter helped orchestrate the offense with four assists and six rebounds.
The Rams never backed down, displaying heart and hustle throughout the contest. Lina Pagan provided valuable defensive stops, while the team worked to find openings against Milligan's high-pressure defense. Although the Buffaloes' depth and consistency proved challenging, Bluefield remained tenacious, fighting for every possession.
