BLUEFIELD – The two teams that call Fincastle "home" top the men's leaderboards at the Fincastle Intercollegiate after the first round of play. Bluefield State University holds the team lead with a +8, 288 and the host Bluefield University Rams "A" team is 10 strokes off the lead with a 298. Virginia Wesleyan University is third at 300, and Bryan College is fourth at 301 in the 11-team field.

Brayden Surface shot an even par 70. BU's
Jacob Mitchell is tied for fourth with a +1, 71.
On the women's side Mars Hill University tops the leaderboard with a 346. There are three full teams competing and four partial teams including Bluefield University and Bluefield State University.
Mia Skaggs of Virginia Wesleyan University sits atop the women's leaderboard with a +11, 81. Bluefield State's Lorelei Oomens followed with a +13, 83. The Rams'
Tristen Gillenwater shot a 100, and
Lexi Sandlin 117.
The second and final round gets underway Tuesday morning at Fincastle in Bluefield, Va.
