The Bluefield University men's golf team kicked off their spring season with an impressive showing at the St. Andrews Sandhills Shootout. The Rams finished 5th overall out of nine competing teams, demonstrating both potential and areas for improvement as they move forward in the season.
Leading the way for the Rams was Eetu Kilpinen, who delivered an outstanding performance, finishing second overall individually with a total score of 149. His stellar play earned him All-Tournament honors.

Coach Andy Sawyer was pleased with the team's effort, noting their solid play and room for growth.
"BU Men's golf had a solid first tournament to kick off the spring season. We hit the ball pretty well, found a few things to work on, and we're ready to get back to work as the weather gets warmer. Incredible job by Eetu Kilpinen taking second overall against a very competitive field," said Sawyer.
The Rams will look to build on this momentum as they continue their season. Their next challenge awaits at Pfeiffer University, where they aim to refine their game and improve upon their solid start.
