Adairsville, GA – The men's golf team traveled to Georgia for the Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Preview, showcasing their progress and determination on the course.
Head Coach Andy Sawyers reflected on the Rams' performance this season, stating, "Our Fall season was really solid! We had several players place individually on All-Tournament teams, and as a team, we made some huge strides. We jumped up the national rankings nearly 40 spots, and we have the talent to keep climbing. As a first-year head coach, I've been so impressed with the talent and work ethic of our team. Their drive to get better and compete every week makes coaching easy. We have a loaded roster that's only getting better, and I feel like in the upcoming Spring season we're going to see several players have breakthrough performances. My hope is to use our Fall success and a focused offseason program to have us ready to keep climbing up the national rankings and continue to be more competitive in the conference."
The Rams finished 6th overall in the tournament, with standout performances from the team. Eetu Kilpinen led with a combined score of 157, followed by Brayden Surface with a total of 162. Silas Miller posted a combined score of 160, while Jacob Mitchell finished with 173, and Benjamin Bossi-Scaglia rounded out the scoring with 177.
