KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Bluefield University women's volleyball moved to 2-0 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play with a five-set win Tuesday evening at Johnson University, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 17-15. The win was the Rams' fifth in their past six matches and it improved BU's overall record to 5-5.
Leading the way for BU against the Royals was Nayerly Jimenez who had 47 assists and 16 digs. Joslyn Evans added 23 kills and a pair of blocks. Liangelys Santana finished with19 kills and 19 digs, while Georgia Lewis picked up 21 digs.
The Rams are home for the weekend, taking on Reinhardt, Friday evening at 6:30 and Truett McConnell, Saturday morning at 11:00.
