BLUEFIELD – The Reinhardt University Eagles snapped the BU women's volleyball team's two-game winning streak and handed the Rams their first Appalachian Athletic Conference setback of the season in three sets Friday night at the Dome Gymnasium, 12-15, 15-25, 19-25.
INSIDE THE MATCH

• Reinhardt claimed the early lead in the first set before Bluefield tied at seven and took its first lead 8-7. Reinhardt then went on an 11-2 run to go ahead by nine. The Rams battled back to within two at 22-20, but the Eagles closed the set on 3-1 run to go ahead 1-0.
• The Eagles dominated the second set from the opening serve. The Rams tied at several points but failed to claim the lead. RU closed the set on a 15-5 run and took a 2-0 lead in the match.
• Bluefield held an early three-point lead and the teams batted throughout the set before the visitors took a 25-19 win to take the match.

LEADERS

• Nayerly Jimenez handed out 20 assists.
• Liangelys Santana had nine kills and nine digs.
• Georgia Lewis finished with 16 digs.
