MILLIGAN, Tenn. - Bluefield University women's basketball dropped its Appalachian Athletic Conference opener 110-54, Wednesday night at Milligan University.
Tamera Maples came off the bench to lead the Rams with 13 points.
Kiaa Boyd had a team-high six rebounds, three assists, and a steal.
Milligan shot a blazing 60% from the field in the first quarter and led 27-12 after the first 10 minutes. The Buffaloes led 56-34 at halftime and for the game shot 55%. The Rams shot 38% from the field in the contest.
With the loss BU drops to 0-1 in the AAC and 0-3 overall. The Rams' home opener is Saturday at noon against AAC foe Truett McConnell.
