BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University women's volleyball pushed its winning streak to six with a four-set win over the Union College Bulldogs at the Dome Gymnasium. It was also a night where BU's Leslie Flores earned the 1,000^th kill of her career.
INSIDE THE MATCH

• Union took an early 3-0 lead. Bluefield tied at three four, then took a lead it would not relinquish. The Rams pulled away midway through the set for a 25-15 win.
• BU took the lead in the second set and built a six-point lead before Union closed to within a point. The Rams stayed focused and earned a 25-23 win.
• The third set was close early before Union claimed a four-point lead late, 24-20. The Rams rallied tying at 24, but Union took the third set 27-25. In the third set Flores got her 1,000^th career kill.
• The Bulldogs held the early lead in the fourth set before Bluefield exploded and took a lead that grew as high as 10 points. Union scored five unanswered points late, but the Rams took the set and match 25-19.

LEADERS

• Flores had 10 kills. She needed five coming into the match to reach 1,000. She also had 17 digs.
• Lauren Sotomayor had a team-high 16 kills.
• Adriana Soto Alvarez tallied 11 kills.
• Georgia Lewis picked up 23 digs.
• Nayerly Jimenez dished out 36 assists.

NEXT IN LINE

• The Rams now 8-6 overall and 6-1 in the AAC host Brenau University, Friday at 6:30 in the Dome Gymnasium.
