BLUEFIELD - Bluefield University women's volleyball won its seventh straight match Friday night, defeating the Brenau University Golden Tigers in four sets. The Rams now stand at 10-6 overall and 8-1 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
INSIDE THE MATCH

• Bluefield took the early lead in set one and grew its lead as high as seven points in taking a 25-18 win.
• Brenau took its first lead of the evening in the second set and built a five-point lead. Bluefield charged back late to tie at 17 before the Tigers went on an 8-4 run to take set two 25-21 and even the match at a game apiece.
• The Rams led early in set three before Brenau drew even at 12. The Rams later pulled ahead by five before claiming the 25-21 win.
• In the fourth set Bluefield went ahead by as many as seven and held off a Tigers charge to claim a 25-21 win and the team's seventh straight victory

LEADERS

• Adriana Soto Alvarez led the Rams with nine kills, nine digs, and four service aces.
• Lauren Sotomayor added nine kills.
• Carly Connor had six blocks.
• Nayerly Jimenez finished with 30 assists.
