BLUEFIELD – Bluefield University's women's basketball team claimed an 80-76 win over the Union College Bulldogs in Appalachian Athletic Conference play Thursday evening at the Dome Gymnasium.
INSIDE THE GAME

• Union took the lead in the opening quarter and led 20-16 after the first 10 minutes. The Bulldogs shot 64% from the field in the period.
• The Rams bounced back in the second quarter, erased a 13-point Union lead and trailed by one at halftime, 38-37.
• Jaydn Hoover's three at the third quarter buzzer broke a 59 tie and the Rams went into the fourth quarter ahead 62-59.
• The Rams held off a Union charge in the final minutes to gain the four-point win.

LEADERS

• Freshman Chase Dionio came off the bench to top the Rams scoring column with 18 points. She added four rebounds and a pair of steals.
• Hoover and Emily Breeding each scored 16 points and each had a pair of three-point baskets.
• Kylie Meadows added 11 points with eight rebounds.
• Lina Pagan had a team-high eight rebounds.
