St. Andrews wins pitching duel in series opener

LAURINBURG, N.C. - Pitching took center stage in Friday's series opener between Bluefield College and St. Andrews. The combined pitchers in the game allowed five total hits as the BC Rams fell to the SAU Knights 3-0.
Bluefield starting pitcher Andrew Arguello pitches six innings of three hit baseball, while Tyler Lowrey worked the final two frames and allowed only one hit.  Arguello suffered the loss. St. Andrews pitcher Davis O'Brien pitched a complete nine inning one hitter. BC's one hit was by Clay Wisner.
The two teams wrap up the series Saturday with a doubleheader.
