SAU slides past BC

LAURINBURG, N.C. - St. Andrews University defeated BC Baseball 5-4 in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader to complete a weekend series sweep.
The SAU led 2-1 after one inning and the Rams tied the game in the third. St. Andrews took the lead with two in the fifth and added a final run in the sixth. The Rams pushed across a final run in the top of the seventh, but could not force the tie.
As in game one, Bluefield College had six hits. David Meech led the Rams with two hits and two RBIs.
Ryan Voss took the loss for BC. Voss pitched five innings and struck out eight.
The Rams return home for a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday against Pikeville.
