Milligan nips Rams in final inning

MILLIGAN, Tenn. – Milligan University pushed across a run with two out in the bottom of the seventh to defeat Bluefield College 7-6 in Appalachian Athletic Conference softball Tuesday afternoon, snapping the Rams' two-game winning streak.
The Buffaloes took a 4-0 lead, scoring one in the second and three in the third. BC scored three in the fourth, while Milligan added a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth. The Rams tied the game with two in the fifth and one in the sixth. Milligan scoring the winning run in walk-off fashion in the bottom of the seventh.
Lexi Harmon was 2-for-3 with a double, while Laken Sparks smacked a two-run homer. Jocilyn Thompson pitched a complete game with one strikeout.
