Rams fall late at Milligan

MILLIGAN, Tenn. – Softball played tough, but for the second game in a row Milligan scored in its last at-bat to defeat the Rams. The Buffaloes broke a four-all tie in the bottom of the sixth to take a 7-4 win in the nightcap of Tuesday's AAC doubleheader.
Milligan raced out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Rams answered with a single run in the fourth when Chloe Hicks' double brought home BC first run of the game. Milligan added a run in the fifth before the Rams tied things in the top of the sixth. Laken Sparks doubled, Kristina Sanchez singled and Lexi Harmon brought everyone home with a three-run homer that evened the game at four.
The Buffs retook the lead in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs to lead 7-4 and take the win.
Sparks, Harmon, and Jocilyn Thompson were each 2-for-3. Harmon had three RBIs. Sparks suffered the loss in the circle.
