BLUEFIELD - Baseball rolled to an 11-1 seven inning non-conference win over Carolina University, Tuesday afternoon at Bowen Field.
The Rams took the lead in the bottom of the first thanks to a two-run home run by
Clay Wisner and never looked back. The Rams added a run in the third, two in the fourth, three in the fifth and three in the seventh to end the game due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Wisner finished the day 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
Nate Cobb,
Taylor Meaux, and
David Meech each had a pair of hits for the Rams.
Five Bluefield College pitchers held CU to a single run and five hits.
Aaron Hash, the fourth pitcher of the day for BC, picked up the win.
"It was a nice team win," said Rams head coach
Mike White. "We got to get a lot of guys some work today. Hopefully we can start to build some momentum as the season gers going."
The Rams evened their record at 5-5 and will host Milligan in a three-game AAC series beginning Friday afternoon.
