St. Andrews outlasts women's volleyball

BLUEFIELD - Bluefield University women's volleyball dropped a hard-fought five set match to the St. Andrews University Knights Saturday morning at the Dome Gymnasium.
The Rams took the opening set 25-22. BU jumped out to an 8-0 lead before SAU fought back. The Knights took the next two sets 25-23 and 25-20, before the Rams evening the match at two sets apiece with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.
St. Andrews jumped to the lead in the fifth set and led 14-10  before the Rams rallied to tie at 14. SAU scored the final two points to take the victory.
Aubri Whatcott led Bluefield with 46 assists and 11 digs. Lauren Sotomayor had 21 kills and 10 digs, while Leslie Flores and Stepahnie Reitzloff had 11 and 10 kills respectively. Georgia Lewis had a team-high 15 digs.
The Rams will host Milligan University, Tuesday night in the Dig Pink Game for Breast Cancer Awareness.
