BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Women's volleyball took to the court for the first time in the 2020 season and dropped a hard fought match at Union College in four sets 9-25, 26-24, 18-25,
Union commanded the first set, but the Rams charged back in the second. The Bulldogs held off BC in the third set and the home team took the match with a win in the fourth.
Bluefield topped Union in a pair of key categories. The Rams had 39 kills to 33 for Union, and BC had nine blocks in the match.
Aubri Whatcott, in her Bluefield College debut, had a team high 24 assists and 11 digs. She added a pair of blocks.
Leslie Flores had nine kills, Jessica Walls eight and
Katie Kendrick seven. Kendrick also had two blocks.
Next up for the Rams is a two-game Georgia road trip, beginning Friday at Reinhardt, and concluding Saturday at Point.
