BLUEFIELD - Baseball concluded its three-game series with Ohio Christian University, Sunday afternoon at Bowen Field and the visiting Trailblazers took the rubber match of the 6-2.
The Blazers raced to a 4-0 lead scoring once in the first and three times in the second before BC starting pitcher
Nathan Presbot shut down the OCU bats for the next five innings. Presbot did not allow any hits or runs after the first two innings and finished the game with six strikeouts. He suffered the loss for the Rams.
Elijah Ervin had a pair of hits and scored both Bluefield runs while
Andreas Holtzer knocked in a run.
The Rams host Thomas More next weekend in a three game set with a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game set for Sunday at Bowen Field. The squad is 4-4 on the young season.
