BLUEFIELD - It was a royal battle Saturday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium between the Rams and AAC foe Tennessee Wesleyan. It came down to the final possession of the contest, and the visitors from the Volunteer State held on to take a 77-75 win.
Both teams held the lead at various times throughout the game, the largest lead for the Rams being six points, the biggest for TWU seven. BC held a slim 46-44 halftime advantage.
Both teams shot well from the field in the game. In the first half both squads shot over 50 percent from the field as the Rams scorched the nets, making 58 percent of their shots, while Wesleyan made 57 percent of its attempts. For the game both teams made 52 percent.
Jermiah Jenkins topped the Bluefield scoring column with 20 points. He had a pair of steals.
Stanley Christian had 13 points.
