BLUEFIELD - The Union Bulldogs took a bite out of the Bluefield College Rams in BC's first outing of 2020 and snapped BC's five game winning streak, 67-48, Thursday night at the Dome Gymnasium.
Union took the early lead and led 19-8 at the end of the first quarter, but the Rams fired back with two strong quarters, closing the gap in the second and third periods. The final frame saw Union out-score the Rams 16-5 to take the AAC victory. Union's largest lead was the final margin of victory.
The visitors shot 50 percent from the field for the game and had four scorers finish the game in double-figure scoring.
Bluefield was led by
Emily Hart with 10 points and
Tianna Crockett finished with nine. Hart also had a team-high seven rebounds.
