BLUEFIELD - After 11 matches on the road the Rams finally played at home against the Union College Bulldogs and lost in three sets 25-16, 25-20, 27-25.  
After a rough start, the Rams managed to obtain four points, the Bulldogs had the lead 13-4. With the Rams showing fight in them, they fought back to lessen the lead to only three, which made the score 15-12. With many good rallies, the Rams fell 25-16.  
To start the second set, the Rams and Bulldogs went back and forth exchanging points and eventually tying the set at five. The Bulldogs increased their lead all the way to 15. The Rams made a comeback from Union by cutting their lead to only two that made score 20-18. The Rams fought hard but couldn't pull through and lost 25-20.  
The Bulldogs started off the third set and exchanged the first three points then Union pulled ahead. The Rams tied the game again at 10 and took the lead for the first time and continued it to 13-11. Union retook the lead and extended it to 17-13. BC closed Union's lead to one and tied the game at 19. The Rams the set at 21 and again at 25. After a tough fight, the Rams took a hard loss 27-25. 
Senior Katie Kendrick had 10 kills. Sophomore Kassidy Holloway led in assists with 26. Freshman Claire Fingerlin led with 13 digs and senior Whitley Phipps had 12.
The Rams host Bryan on Friday night.
