JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Baseball took a doubleheader from Edward Waters College, Saturday afternoon 8-7 and 7-5, to take its season-opening series from the Tigers three games to one in Northern Florida.
In game one
Jordan Huntley led off the contest with a home run and
Edgardo Bernard added a two-run blast in the third inning, but it was a two-run single by Bernard in the seventh that proved to be the game-winning hit for Bluefield.
Justin Coleman picked up the win in relief for BC in game one.
In the series finale Bernard slammed his second home run of the season, a solo shot in the second inning that opened the scoring for BC.
Carlos Torres had a two-run shot in the third inning.
Spencer Ambrose worked six innings and earned the win for the Rams in the second game, while Coleman got his first save of the year.
The Rams are back in action this weekend in a three-game set at Toccoa Falls (Ga.) College.
