PIKEVILLE, Ky. - Host Pikeville nipped women's basketball 70-68 Saturday afternoon in the Appalachian Wireless Classic.
Cierra Cook led Bluefield with 17 points and five rebounds while
Kianna Campbell had 13 points, seven reounds, four assists and four steals.
Tianna Crockett checked in with 16 points for BC and
Emily Hart finished with 10 points and four boards.
UPike led 26-23 at the half and the teams were tied at 46 going into the fourth quarter.
The Rams, now 0-3 have lost all their games this season to teams nicknamed Bears. They look to break into the win column Monday night against crosstown rival Bluefield State at the Ned Shott Gymnasium on the BSC campus. Tip-off is at 6:00.
