BLUEFIELD - Women's basketball got its first win of the 2018-19 season and beat Bluefield State for the fourth straight season, 65-47, Monday night at the Dome in the Battle of the Bluefields.
The first quarter ended with a 19-15 lead for the Lady Rams. Danae Cox led the team in the 1st quarter with 13 points.
Continuing their lead, the second quarter ended with a lead of 31-29.
Going into the second half, the Rams continued to play hard against the Lady Blues and ended the quarter leading 46-36.
BC finished the game strong with a 65-47 win.
Danae Cox led BC with 22 points, Courtney Kendrick added 12 points, while Cierra Cook and Tianna Crockett each scored 10 points.
