MONTREAT, N.C. - The Bluefield College softball team made history in its 6-3 win in the second game of a doubleheader against Montreat College, Friday evening. The win gave the Rams a school-record 19th victory on the season, eclipsing the previous record of 18, set last season.
In the nine inning contest BC pitcher Brienna Sparks struck out 15 Cavaliers en route to the victory.
The Rams fell to Montreat 12-2 in the opening game and are now 19-13 on the season and 3-9 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
The team returns to the diamond Saturday, April 8, at AAC foe Tennessee Wesleyan.
