Box Score WALESKA, Ga. – The Bluefield College women's basketball team finished the regular season on a high note, beating the Reinhardt Eagles 69-53 Saturday afternoon in Georgia. The win was the sixth straight for the Rams who completed the 2015-16 campaign with an 18-10 overall mark and 12-8 record in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
Down 14-2 after the first quarter, the Rams turned the tables in the second and out-scored Reinhardt 17-3 to take a 19-17 lead at halftime. The two teams each scored 21 points in the third quarter before Bluefield pulled away by 14 points in the final quarter for the final margin of victory.
Monique Robson and Danae Cox topped the Bluefield scoring column with 14 points apiece. Robson had 10 rebounds. Deneysha Goods finished with 10 points while Shelby Key had seven rebounds and four assists.
The Rams open AAC Tournament play next week in Kingsport, Tenn. Pairings will be announced when available.
