Box Score BLUEFIELD, Va. – Maryah Mazyck scored 13 and Courtney Kennedy 10 to lead the Bluefield College women's basketball team to a 68-49 win over the Union Bulldogs, Saturday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium.
After a closely contested first quarter, the Rams took the lead in second stanza and never looked back in gaining their 15th win of the season in 25 outings. BC led by seven at halftime and by eight after three quarters. The Rams broke it open in the fourth, out-scoring Union 17-6 in the final 10 minutes for the final margin of victory.
In addition to her 10 points, Kendrick pulled down five rebounds and had a steal. Deneysha Goods had a team-high eight rebounds along with a pair of steals, while Shelby Key finished with three assists and three steals.
Union's Peyton Hisel was the game's top scorer with 17 points along with nine rebounds, while Shelby Rudd finished with 16 points.
Bluefield, now 15-10 overall and 9-9 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference, hosts St. Andrews, Wednesday night.
