Rams fall in AAC Tournament

Box Score BLUEFIELD, W.Va. - The 2015 women's soccer campaign came to a close Wednesday night for Bluefield College as the Rams dropped a 1-0 decision to the Bryan College Lions in the opening round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament at the East River Soccer Complex.
A tightly contested match, the lone goal came in the 26th minute on an unassisted goal by Hana Mizoguchi. Statistically the teams were even. Bryan had 12 shots, Bluefield 11. Rams' goalkeeper Brandi Anderson and Bryan keeper Morgana Hardt da Silva each had six saves.
The game was the first home post-season contest in the history of Bluefield College soccer. The Rams completed the season with a 5-7-4 record.
BC head coach Tom Price was pleased with the support given the team by the largest crowd of the season.
"I want to thank all the fans for coming out," Price said. "Their support was much appreciated."
Price continued, "I am really proud of the ladies. It was a tough way to end the season. We had our chances but it wasn't meant to be. We had a good year and I want to thank the seniors for their leadership and dedication. I also want to thank Hank Furry for all he does for our program."
Bryan moves on to play No. 1 seed Reinhardt, Saturday.
