Box Score BLUEFIELD, W.Va. - Sometimes a tie is not a good thing, but for the Bluefeild College Rams on Saturday afternoon, a 1-1 draw with the Truett-McConnell Bears moved the Rams into fifth place in the Appalachian Athletic Conference standings.
Two first half goals were all the scoring that took place on Senior Day 2015 and it was senior
Jessica Newman that provided the scoring for Bluefield. Her goal in the 23rd minute gave the Rams a 1-0 lead that lasted until the 38th minute when TMC's Abbey Thompson knotted the game with an unassisted goal.
The second half saw Truett charge, shooting eight times on goal, but failing to score asl BC keeper
Brandi Anderson had six second half saves. Anderson had 12 total saves in the game with three coming in overtime.
