Jessica Newman had two shots, Sunday.WALESKA, Ga. -- Facing its sixth-straight Appalachian Athletic Conference contest to open the season, the Bluefield College women's soccer team dropped a Sunday's contest, 5-0, against Reinhardt University at Ken White Field.
Bluefield moves to 0-5-1 overall and in AAC play on the season. Reinhardt improves to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in conference action.
The hosting Lady Eagles score four times in the opening 45 minutes, then tacked on one more in the second half en route to the shut out.
First half goals for Reinhardt came in the third, 16th, 19th and 43rd minutes to grab a commanding halftime lead. The final goal came in the 85th minute, as Madie Easterwood scored her second of the game. Yanci Akselsen also had a two-goal game, while Stephanie Goins had the first of the game.
Bluefield had five shots on the day, but none on goal.

Brandi Anderson made eight saves on the afternoon, as Reinhardt held a 17-5 advantage in shots, with 13 being on target.
Bluefield had just two corner kicks to Reinhardt's four. The Lady Eagles were called for nine fouls to BC's three.
The Lady Rams face their first non-conference contest of the year on Wednesday, traveling to face Barton College for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
