Softball drops pair of MSC doubleheaders

BLUEFIELD, Va. – The Bluefield College softball team had a tall order of facing Cumberland (Tenn.) and No. 11 Lindsey Wilson on Friday and Saturday, with the two teams owning a combined record of 29-5 so far this season.
 
Cumberland took the two games by scores of 18-0 and 10-1 at Linda K. Epling Stadium in Beckley, W. Va., while the Blue Raiders defeated BC 14-0 and 9-1, Saturday.
 
Both opponents' pitchers got to better matchup against the Lady Rams hitters, who tallied seven hits in the two games against Cumberland and five hits against the Blue Raiders.
 
Bluefield's solo run against Cumberland was unearned, and Aline Uehara hit a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning for BC's sole tally against Lindsey Wilson.
