Mike White, the longest-tenured coach at Bluefield University, has been at the helm of the Rams' baseball program since 2006. Over nearly two decades, White has built a tradition of excellence, leading the Rams to multiple postseason appearances, achieving significant milestones, and fostering the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.

White reached a major career milestone on April 15, 2024, earning his 500th win with a doubleheader sweep of Kentucky Christian University. His tenure includes numerous highlights, such as the Rams' first-ever national championship in 2009, which earned him NCCAA National Coach of the Year honors. White has also been named NCCAA Mid-East Regional Coach of the Year nine times and was recognized as the 2012 NAIA Mid-South Conference Coach of Character.

Under White's leadership, the Rams have set school records for wins on multiple occasions, with the current high mark being a 41-16 record in 2010. His teams have made seven trips to the NCCAA World Series, including the championship-winning season in 2009 and a runner-up finish in 2010. White's success has extended beyond team achievements, with several players earning All-Conference, All-American, and professional baseball opportunities.

Before taking the reins at Bluefield, White served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at his alma mater, the University of Virginia-Wise, where he spent five years. As a player, White was a standout for the Cavaliers, holding multiple offensive records, earning All-Conference and All-Region honors, and achieving All-American status. His contributions were recognized with his induction into the UVa-Wise Hall of Fame in 2001.

A native of Castlewood, Virginia, White graduated from UVa-Wise in 1990 with a B.A. in History/Social Science. He is married to Michele Addison White, and they have two grown children, Dalton and Connor, as well as three beloved dogs.

Coaching Philosophy
Coach White emphasizes a fast-paced, fundamentally sound approach to the game. His teams are known for their offensive pressure, dominant pitching, and "bulldog" mentality. He encourages his players to embrace athletic freedom, support their teammates, and play with relentless energy, embodying a "dirt bag" mindset. His philosophy also prioritizes sportsmanship, emphasizing graciousness in victory and humility in defeat.
